About the Grand Prix in Las Vegas

The Ultimate Race is coming to Las Vegas for the first time in almost 40 years. The highly anticipated Las Vegas Grand Prix will take place from 16-18 November 2023. Officially titled the "Formula 1 Heineken Silver Las Vegas Grand Prix 2023", the twenty world-class drivers will race an exciting new street circuit around the Las Vegas Strip, passing by some of Sin City's most famous neon signs and lights for a thrilling night race!

The city's bustling streets will transform into a thrilling racetrack, attracting racing enthusiasts from around the globe. The newly-constructed grandstands and seating areas can accommodate up to 105,000 attendees, many of which have already booked their tickets. Many large hotels in Las Vegas have bought up blocks of tickets and packaged them with rooms, making scoring individual tickets even more difficult. Presently, it looks like a race weekend package with a room at a Las Vegas hotel room, will cost upwards of $10,000!

If you were fast enough to get a ticket to the Las Vegas Grand Prix, you will have access to a designated zone and will be treated to exclusive Vegas-style entertainment, as well as all-inclusive food and drink options throughout the course of the weekend's race. If you haven't gotten a ticket, you will likely find it difficult to watch the race in person, as the track has been completely blocked off from public view.

The Las Vegas Grand Prix Race Weekend will take over Sin City from November 16 to November 18, 2023. November 16 and November 17 are practice days for the twenty drivers. With a 10pm local start time (PST), the track will go lights out amidst the grand spectacle of the illuminated Strip casinos.

The Las Vegas Grand Prix is being divided into several zones for the race and tickets grant attendees entry to one designated zone. Tickets are sold with either three-, four-, or five-day access. Grandstand tickets are mainly sold with three-day access. General Admission and Grandstand tickets include all-inclusive stadium food and non-alcoholic beverages, while Hospitality tickets include all-inclusive gourmet cuisine and alcoholic beverages.

The Las Vegas Grand Prix track layout zones consist of:

• East Harmon Zone - (the last corner of Turn 1) and opening corners (Turns 1-3) of the circuit. This zone hosts a number of grandstand ticket options that will provide some of the most exciting and affordable views of the track.
• West Harmon Zone - the cheapest grandstand tickets available. The grandstands are largely located on the straight before the final Turn 17.
• South Koval North Koval Zones - no grandstands located in these small zones but a number of private suites and shared hospitality tickets, which start at $8,000 for a three-day ticket, are located here.
• MSG Sphere Zone - located between turns 5 and 9, this is the main general admission location. Six massive grandstands offer three-day general admission tickets here.
• Paddock Zone - is VIP area is located inside the track and consists of private hospitality suites.

Depending on your budget, the best places to watch the Las Vegas Grand Prix are probably the East Harmon Zone (for grandstand tickets) or the VIP Paddock Zone if your budget is much larger!

How much are race tickets in Vegas?

Are you planning to attend the 2023 Las Vegas Grand Prix? Tickets for this exciting event are now available for purchase! Prices vary depending on the type of seating and access you would like. The first phase of tickets went on sale in November 2022 and general admission/ grandstand tickets sold out in minutes.  

A large number of tickets were also distributed to Las Vegas hotel partners and official ticket partners. For a standard grandstand seat, tickets range from $75 to $175. If you'd like to upgrade your experience, you can purchase VIP packages which include access to the Pit Building (paddock) and exclusive seating in the front rows. These tickets range from $200-$1000.

Why is the Las Vegas Grand Prix at night?

Night races are nothing new in the world of racing, and the Las Vegas Grand Prix will have lights out at 10pm local time (PST). This timeframe is the best compromise to allow the most fans from around the world to enjoy the race live. 

Will the Las Vegas Strip be closed during the race?

Visitors to Las Vegas will still be able to access the Strip casinos on foot, but they will not be able to view the race from the sidewalk. Las Vegas Boulevard and surrounding streets will be closed to vehicle traffic during the Las Vegas race weekend. 

Where can I watch the Las Vegas Grand Prix without tickets?

Every casino on Las Vegas Boulevard boasts dozens of bars and restaurants that will broadcast the race. You can also find a seat in your resort’s sports book. For a better chance at a table or seat, look into bars located off the Strip or visit one of the numerous other casinos outside of Las Vegas Boulevard.
